Introduction 
Kullu is a district in Himachal Pradesh. Kullu is most Populous district in Himachal Pradesh. The largest valley in the district is called the Kullu Valley, which is also known as the Valley of the Gods. There is also a town called Kullu which sits on the banks of the Beas River in the central part of the valley. Kullu district offers many attractions to the tourists. It has rich art and cultural heritage, lush green deep meadows, dazzling rivers, white capped snowy peaks and high mountains. The kullu district has incomparable Beas and its sub-valleys which are full of natural charm and grandeur. Kullu is not only famous for its scenic beauty but also as a paradise for the trekkers and mountaineers.

Places to visit 

Bishweshwar Temple
Bishweshwar Temple is located in the village Bajaura which is 5 km from Bhuntar. It is the largest and the most attractive stone temple of Kullu Valley. This temple, built in the ninth century in pyramid style. It is said that the Pandavas built it in one day. This temple has been declared as a protected monument.

Manikaran
Manikaran is famous for hot sulphur springs revered by both Hindus and Sikhs pilgrims. Manikaran is at a 1737 m, on the right bank of river Parvati. Thousand, of pilgrims take dip in holy water. The water of the spring is also said to have curative value which cures many skin diseases. According to an ancient saying Manikaran is also connected with Lord Shiva and His divine concert Parvati.

Jagannathi Devi Temple
Jagannathi Devi Temple is located at Bhekhali which is 7 Km from Kullu. This is situated at an altitude of 1,800 m above sea level. It is believed that this temple was constructed 1,500 years ago. Walls of the temple are carved with beautiful presentation of Lord Durga's various avatars.

Vaishno Devi Temple
Vaishno Devi Temple is located at a distance of 5 km from the beautiful town of Kullu on Kullu Manali Road. This Temple commonly known as the Mahadevi Tirth and is named after the Goddess of mountains and wife of Lord Shiva Parvati. The temple stands stoic in the scenic valley of Kullu, in the hill state of Himachal Pradesh and was built way back in the year 1966.

Bijli Mahadev Temple
Bijli Mahadev Temple is located at an altitude of about 2,438 m in the Kullu Valley. It is one of the excellent temples in India, which is Located 14 km from Kullu. A panoramic view of Kullu and Paravati valleys can be seen from the temple. Bijli Mahadev temple is a Khash style temple that has a SHIVLINGAM installed in it. The Shivlingam is struck by lightning and it breaks into pieces, then the priest of the temple collects all the pieces and joints them to get here with the help of butter, which acts as an adhesive. During July, a great rush of people comes here to pay homage to LORD SHIVA.
