Introduction 
Mandi is a small, beautifull, green, hilly district of Himachal Pradesh. It is a second most populous town in Himachal Pradesh after Shimla and is situated along the banks of river Beas. This Beautiful Hill Station is popularly known as Kashi of the hillsMandi has over 81 temples, most of them dedicated to Lord Shiva. Mandi is a popular tourist destination because of its Salubrious climate, scenic views of the snow-clad mountains and well developed tourist facilities. Mandi ia also popular with trekkers as it is the starting point for various treks in Himachal Pradesh. Trekking trails from Mandi lead to Rewalsar, Shikari Devi, Barot, Jhatingri, Karsog, etc. The town is also the gateway to Himachal' most famous valleys - Kullu, Manali, Lahaul and Spiti.

Places To Visit 

Rewalsar Lake
Rewalsar lake is known for its floating islands of reed. This lake is shaped like a square with a shoreline of 735 m. It is 24 km from Mandi. It is held sacred to all three communities Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. The Sisu fair held in February to March and the festival of Baisakhi are important events at Rewalsar.

Tarna Devi Temple
Tarna Devi Temple is located on the Tarna Hill in Mandi and Provides a brilliant scenic view. It is also called the temple of Shyama Kali. It was built in the 17th century by Raja Shyam Sen, a devotee of Goddess Kali. This temple also has many beautiful paintings of Gods, Goddesses and Gurus.

Bhutnath Temple
Bhutnath Temple was built in 1527 by Raja Ajbar Sen. It is an ancient temple which is located in the main street heart of the town Manali. This temple is devoted to Great Lord Shiva and is visited by many travellers on the eve of Mahashivaratri.

Barot
It is a nice picnic spot which is situated at a distance of 33 km from Mandi on Mandi - Pathankot Highway. It is famous for Trout Fishing and a ropeway that attracts the Tourist.

Janjheli
Janjheli is a scenic place with thick forests and springs. It is located 67 km from Mandi. It is also the base of some excellent treks.

Sunder Nagar
Sundernagar is famous for its temples which is 24 km from Mandi on the national highway. The beautiful town of Sunder Nagar is known for its shady walks amidst towering trees. On top of a hill and visited by thousands of devotees every year, is the Sukhdev Vatika and temple of Mahamaya.
